Work with Cloud Tag
Cloud Tag puts a Claude agent into your Google Groups. Add the agent's address to a group, mention @cloud in any thread, and it answers in that thread, by email, where the whole group can see it. It works the way Claude Tag works in Slack: you tag it into a problem and hand it work, and the exchange stays visible to everyone in the group.

against this morning's deploy and find what's causing it?
The agent replies in the thread. Anyone in the group can reply to steer it, and it picks up every follow-up without being mentioned again.
Where Cloud Tag runs
Cloud Tag works in Google Groups. You write to the group as you always do, and the agent replies there. Mention its @name to make sure it picks a message up.
- Each group has its own setup: instructions, connectors, skills, files, memory and spend limit. Settings inherit from the organization, then the agent, then the group.
- Each email thread is its own session. Replies in the thread continue the same conversation.
- The agent works in a sandbox in your organization's Anthropic account, not on anyone's computer.
- It reaches outside tools through connectors and secrets that the group's admins or the organization's Owners and Admins set up.
Who can use it
Anyone who can post to the group can ask the agent for something. Nobody needs a Claude account or a seat. Work is billed to the organization's Anthropic API key, under the spend limits its Owners and Admins set.
For people in a group
If the agent is already in your group, you can use it now:
- Get started: your first message, and what the agent can read
- Commands:
!help,!status,!mute,!restart,!fast,!forkand the rest - Control when it responds: mentions, follow-ups, and respond automatically
- What it remembers: group memory and shared notes
- Choose the model: the model a group uses, and fast mode
- Routines: work on a schedule
- Good habits: how to write requests it can finish
- Troubleshooting: no reply, errors, and approvals
For administrators
- Set up Cloud Tag: create an organization, add an API key, link a mailbox, and add it to a group
- Give it access to your tools: connectors, secrets, network access, tool approvals and auto-approve rules
- Bundles: one set of tools and instructions for many groups
- GitHub and Google Drive
- Customize it: instructions, model, skills and files, per group or for everyone
- Control who can use and configure it: roles, which groups it joins, muting and removing it
- Set spend limits
- Review what it has done
- Coming from Claude Tag: what maps one to one, and what's different
- Troubleshoot setup
How it works
- How Cloud Tag works: threads, sessions, and what the agent can see
- Settings map: where each setting lives
- Security and data handling
- Personal connectors: your own accounts, used only for your requests
- Glossary
Direct messages
You can email an agent privately without a group. Personal Gmail agents accept their organization's Owners and Admins; Workspace agents accept authenticated senders on the same domain. Each person gets separate settings and memory with each agent.
